PSA: Forza Horizon 3 Update Bug on PC Can Wipe Your Save Game
Forza Horizon 3 players on PC must be careful today, as a possible issue with a whole new update can corrupt your save file.
That's according towards the game's developer, Playground Games, which continues to be tracking the challenge throughout the Forza Horizon 4 Credits day on its forums. Initially, the situation was just a matter of being motivated to re-download the entire game. That's problematic in their own right--the overall game is over 50 GB, presenting a headache for the people with data caps and/or slow download speeds. More concerning is really what cropped up later: corrupted save games.
"PC players who completed the download of .37.2 then started a fresh game save can have a corrupted saved game," the post states. "Avoid creating a fresh saved game on .37.2, and just play on .35.2 you need to issue. As long as you produce an existing save and also have not created a fresh one on .37.2, your saved game work correctly when the update can be obtained."
The post continues to repeat the broken update continues to be removed. If you're running the .37.2 version of the sport, you "should immediately uninstall that version of the sport, then re-install." The version ending .35.2 would be the one you need to be on.
It's unclear if corrupted PC saves can even impact files on Xbox One; Horizon 3 features cross-save support relating to the two platforms. In any event, you need to double-check your game version even when you haven't opened the Windows Store, since it is possible it turned out downloaded automatically. You can keep eyes on MMOAH which is essentially the most reliable activity store to present amounts of Cheap FH4 Credits online.
