Fortnite's New Update Is Out Now On PC, PS4, Xbox One; Patch Notes Detail What's Changed
Following a day-long delay, Epic Games has released the modern update for Fortnite. The 3.3 patch adds new content to both Battle Royale and Save the World modes, while using former getting several additional features.
First up for Battle Royale can be a new weapon, remote explosives. These are pretty self-explanatory, allowing that you place a bomb after which detonate it from the distance. These appear to be suitable for dealing with player-built fortresses. They are a Rare-level rarity item and addition has triggered Smoke Grenades being "vaulted," meaning those shall no longer be available in-game to the time being. Remote Explosives can be found in stacks of 4, using a maximum of 10.
Remote explosives can be obtained from treasure chests or supply drops, as floor loot, or through Supply Llamas, another in this patch's latest features. These are essentially treasure chests seen in unusual places where will reward you with good loot.
Also notable is the fact a new limited-time mode, Blitz, launches on March 19; it includes more fast-paced matches that come with a 15-minute time period. Various bugs have been fixed, and Epic says it's made improvements towards the visual effect if you are hit with a bullet which will make it easier to tell Fortnite Skins which direction it got their start in.
For Save the World players, a fresh Spring It On chapter, Luck in the Storm, has become available with new rewards, including St. Patrick's Day-themed heroes. Epic in addition has made some changes to stat caps and rolled back patch 3.2's modifications to critical chance.
Patch 3.3 fades now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One--maybe Drake will likely be diving in to take a look at its new additions. You can see everything that's changed inside the full patch notes on Epic's website. If you want to learn more about Fortnite Weapons, please continue to keep an eye on MMOAH.
