Digimon World: Dusk Hands-On

In both upcoming Digimon World games with the Nintendo DS--Digimon World: Dusk and Digimon World: Dawn--a malware of sorts has infected the Digimon universe, one who begins to corrupt the different Digimon living there. Both games give you a slightly different viewpoint on that intriguing setup, and that is aimed at young game fans, together with longtime Digimon devotees.

While Dusk seems to build the viral infection theme more directly, in Dawn, you can be playing in a very Digimon tournament if your Digimon Masters Online Tera virus hits, as well as the teams involved immediately begin blaming each other. From there, it's up to someone to discover and defeat the original source of this infection. In the process, you can also collect the 200-plus Digimon that will likely be found in versions in the game. Of course, both versions feature some overlap, such since the digital monster lineup, but there are going to be unique monsters within games. For example, Dusk features a little more sinister-looking creatures--insects, beasts, and also the like--while the Dawn version on the game will feature animal-inspired Digimon. Because the experience is directed at a younger audience, it will likely be easy to recover and share Digimon with friends through the Nintendo DS wireless or Wi-Fi connection. You can also combine digital monsters to build new Digimon breeds which will feature attributes from the two original monsters.

Making the right path around the experience will be easy because the action is almost entirely controlled together with the touch screen plus a stylus. Of course, while you progress through the experience, you will be able to evolve your DMO Gold collected Digimon. But you should meet many prerequisites, for example experience level, relationship level, and, occasionally, special items, to finish the evolution. Most Digimon is going to be able to evolve into no less than two other styles, while some will have several upper-level forms they're able to take.

You may take up to six Digimon with you when you travel, but only three may go into struggle with you during an encounter. As you go, you'll make cash that you'll be able to use to buy new weapons, armor, and items on your party. For those Digimon left back on the farm, you are able to continue to level them up by collecting special items, for instance punching bags, that may improve their strength. Or you'll be able to purchase a field, that could provide food on their behalf.

With approximately 20 hours of gameplay to experience of both versions with the game, Digimon World: Dusk and Digimon World: Dawn appear to be they is going to be fun handheld action role-playing games for your younger set. The game is born for release this fall.
