Secret World drops subscription fee

Massively multiplayer online role-playing game The Secret World don't requires to sign up fee, developer Funcom announced today. Those who purchase the experience either online maybe in store (at $30 Warmane Gold) is not going to be forced to subscribe.      
Though Funcom does away that has a mandatory subscription fee for The Secret World, players can select to pay via a whole new Membership option. This $15/month tier gives users a Time Accelerator item, $10 in Bonus Points, an item-of-the-month gift, plus a 10 percent discount on all in-game store items.    
In addition the Grandmaster pack (lifetime subscribers) get everything above, with an additional ten percent in-game store discount. Further, lifetime subscribers can put their discount to future downloadable content packs.   
Funcom also announced today that new DLC for The Secret World are going to be available starting in January 2013. The unnamed content will likely be available being a free download for those which has a full game account registered from the end of 2012, or $5 for anyone else.    
The Secret World launched during July 2012 into a generally positive critical reception. It has sold over 200,000 copies by August which is now a profitable enterprise for Funcom.
