GOG's Next Free Game Is Akalabeth, The Grandfather of RPGs

Before Richard Garriott made the acclaimed Ultima series, he made Akalabeth: World of Doom, now considered for being the grandfather of recent role-playing video games. This classic game, originally released in 1980 for your Angrathar Gold Apple II, has become available to download at no cost from The Witcher developer CD Projekt Red's GOG.
It is added to GOG's library of free games."Originally, the creator wrote Akalabeth for his very own entertainment but was persuaded using a friend for a local computer store to use selling it," CD Projekt Red says about Garriott and Akalabeth.Garriott released Akalabeth 35 years ago within a way that now seems absurd. He made copies in the game himself and place them in ziplock bags, full of instruction sheets (pictured at left). The game itself helps you to play to be a fighter or perhaps a mage, battling by using a series of enemy-filled dungeons. Akalabeth is actually available on GOG for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Alongside the arrival of Akalabeth today on GOG, a store is putting the entire Ultima catalog discounted for up to eighty percent off. This timed promotion runs with the morning of December 26. Don't hesitate, there's cheap Sunwell Gold available for purchase in MMOAH.
